Om Sat Community
One thing about living in a community is that the experience is truly an acceleration for self-development work…if that’s what you are into. Each and every person that has come through this land project has inspired me in some way, shape, or form. I give thanks to having these powerful humans as my mirror and reflecting the good, the ugly, and the magic that we are!
What I know for sure…
Water is our most needed source for life, clean spring water to drink, rainwater to use in my house, and water to sustain the land. My relation to water has changed. I'm more mindful of how I use water, I’m more particular about the water I drink.
My freedom and safety are core values, having the freedom to walk barefoot without a mask and feeling safe in my environment are key necessities for my life and wellbeing.
Having kids that run wild and free around me, inspires and uplifts me, I'm reminded to play more and they imprint the remembrance of my own innocence.
Planting food and having my own garden to tend is healing and grounding to me. It takes time and presence, it’s become a form of meditation.
Having family potlucks fosters deeper connection, sharing songs and stories around the fire brings me joy and the feeling of celebration.
Not all who come to this land project will stay, everyone has different views and values. I have come to accept with love that we are doing the best with what we have, and always support each other's way to move forward in the world even if it's different from my beliefs and values.
Although these are just a few things that I know for sure, the ONE thing that stands out from all of these is TRUTH. In a community we are all invited to speak our truth, not to mask it, hide it or change it but to honor the truth that we are. It’s been such a powerful practice to learn how to listen, receive and share truth.
